There are millions of blogs published across the web. Every day and every second new blogs are getting published. People are using blogs to communicate with others and share their messages or ideas and also earning money.
A blog can help you inform, educate, promote, and even sell, but only if you are clear about your motives from the start.
Various reasons for which people start a blog and enjoy blogging:
- Blogging has become one of a great way to share your thoughts, opinions, hobbies, learnings, experiences with the world.
- Exploring your creative side.
- It gives the potential for self-growth.
- The best reason? you can make money and have a passive source of income.
There are many ways to make money by starting your own blog by using affiliate marketing or in simple words selling products or placing ads and getting paid for promoting products and services.

Blogger which is also known as Blogspot is a free blogging platform by Google where you can easily create and start your blog even without any coding knowledge. It is a very popular platform for beginners because it is very easy to use and does not require any technical knowledge.
You can easily monetize your blog by enabling Google Adsense. Google analytics can also be easily integrated with it to track your blog. Being the product of google it has the trust and credibility of google.
Ok, now let's start creating a blog in a step by step method.
How to create a blog with Blogger
Sign up with a Gmail account
- You should have a Gmail account to start blogging with blogger.
- Create your Gmail account.
- If you already have a Gmail account then proceed to the next step.
Log into the Blogger account
Go to Blogger.com and sign in with your Gmail credentials and have access to your blogger account.
Create your blog
- Now you have access to your blogger dashboard.
- Go to the top-left drop-down menu and choose "new blog".
Choose your blog Title, Address, and Theme
After clicking the "new blog" a new window opens where you have to fill details like title, address, and theme.
Title-This is the name with which you will be publishing your blog posts or simply we can say that it is the name of your blog.
As the title of my blog is Digital Abhijeet.
Address- It is the blog address, also known as blog URL, this is the address which people will use to reach your blog.
Blog address of my blog is: digitalgeekabhijeet.blogspot.com
Theme-It is basically the design of your blog. It is just to make your blog look good and attractive.
After taking all these steps, click on "create blog".
You are finished with the initial blog setup!!
now your blog is LIVE for all and you can start blogging by creating posts.
Creating your Blog post
- Click on the "posts" menu present on the left side of your blogger dashboard.
- Then click on "new post".
- Blogger editor opens which looks similar to ms word editor.

- Write a suitable title for your post in the "post title bar".
- Start writing your blog article.
- you can add images, videos, links, etc to make your blog post look good and more descriptive.
How to customize your Blog
In the left side panel of your blogger dashboard, there are two options"Theme" and "Layout".Here you can do any type of customization like, choosing any given theme or uploading some other themes, using different widgets, changing background, putting a logo, putting header and footer, etc

How to publish your Blog
After you are finished writing the blog post and customizing it according to you. Click on "preview" and check how your blog will look like, and if you are satisfied with it click on "Save" and then at the last "publish".
BONUS TIP:
You can use canva.com for high-resolution images for free. It is a very popular platform which has a wide collection of images, templates, videos of different size and dimension.

ReplyDeleteBlog is a type of a website where posts and present in a reverse chronological order and mostly size of blogs are small as compared to websites.A website is a bigger web presence and can have content of lots and lots blogs.
